It's not just on TV series now. It's real.

It made me sick in the stomach.
It's inhumane.
I can't imagine someone is cruel and heartless enough to torture this poor, helpless 8 years old girl whom barely had her taste of life.
I can't imagine how the parents are feeling right now.
And I just can't wait to see who did this and get the punishment they deserve.

DNA tests: Body found in bag is Nurin
(update 2)

PETALING JAYA: The police have said that
DNA tests on the body found stuffed in a
sports bag on Monday in Petaling Jaya
show that it is that of missing girl
Nurin Jazlin Jazimin.

Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed
on Thursday said that DNA tests have so
far indicated that the body found in a
shophouse at Jalan PJS1, Petaling Jaya
Utama is that of Nurin, 8, who had been
missing since Aug 20.

At Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Nurin's father
Jazimin Abdul Jalil, 33, a taxi driver
still denied the body was that of his
daughter, reports BERNAMA.

"I am Nurin's father ... I know my
daughter better than anyone else. My
heart is saying the body is not my
daughter.

"If police ask me to take the body, I
will accept, I will perform the funeral
rites and bury it. But I want the police
to pursue the search for Nurin because I
know Nurin is still safe out there," he
said, speaking to reporters outside the
HKL mortuary.

Jazimin added that he was sure the body
was not Nurin because of the teeth and
the scar that Nurin had.

According to Jazimin, Nurin's teeth did
not have gaps between them and she also
had a scar on her thigh.

Nurin's mother Norazian Bistaman, 35,
said she was ready to accept what the
authorities tell her.

"What else can I say. The DNA test shows
she is my daughter. I will accept the
will of God.

"As a mother, I still hope the body is
not my daughter's. Which mother will
accept the reality that her daughter was
raped and killed brutally.

"Only God knows the extent of my sadness
and grief," she said in tears.

Norazian said this year's Hari Raya
Aidilfitri celebrations would be the
most joyous and meaningful in her life
in the event Nurin was found safe and
sound.

"In fact, we've already bought Nurin's
Hari Raya dress and I will patiently
wait for her return," she added.

Do we really care, really?

There has been a rumor circulating about J Lo being pregnant since this green dress she wore during NY fashion week revealed somewhat looked like a baby bump..
Well, too bad, she's not...
But good news! It's just fat! haha...*evil green-eyed monster laugh*
She really is human after all.

'You must read an important book'.
Damn! As if I don't know that yet! I have tons of 'important bookS' to read as my finals are approaching real soon.
It's time for me to get serious and study my ass off.

Oh Mandy

Amanda Leigh Moore. That goody-two-shoes Mandy Moore. She used to annoy me so much. Every time I watched her video I always feel like punching her. I even hated her because I think she's putting up an act to make people think that she's innocent and naive and nice.
I have to eat my words now.
Sure,I love A Walk To Remember but that's only because of the story line and Shane West. But one movie after another (How to Deal, Chasing Liberty..etc), it kinda grew on me. I no longer hate her...I actually like her. Haha..
Lately, with all the hoohaas about Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, et all, people actually kinda forgotten about Mandy's existence; which, in my opinion, was the best thing that can ever happen to her. She took this chance to re-invent herself musically and produced a new album. This particular album is the one thing that made me chance my perspective towards her. Her songs are no longer silly and teeny boppy. She sounded more mature and she actually has a really great voice.
I think I like her now.
Who am I kidding? I love her. Haha *Tak tetap pendirian betul.*
Btw, have a look at these 3 videos. The first one is the cover of Umbrella by Rihanna, which I personally think that she has done a good job...I like both btw.
The second video is a blues version of her silly first single 'Candy'. Phwoarr...she took this sone to a whole new level. It's way above and beyond better than the original.
The last video is her new single, 'Gardenia', which I love.

She does sound a bit country-ish, and blues-ish kan?

Top Friends?

First it was MySpace.
Now it's Friendster.
Next, it'll be Facebook's turn.
Oh wait, Facebook already has the same feature.
These websites are great because we can all keep in touch with our childhood friends, school friends, colleagues or whomever that has crossed our paths. However, there's one thing that kinda turn me off. The whole featured friends or top friends thingy.
I like all my friends. I love the ones closest to me. But the thing is, there are more than 6 or 8 friends who are close to me enough that 'deserve' to be in my top friends list...but I just don't have space for all of them thanks to the webmasters of those websites. I want to put Azlan, my house mates, the whole LOEW clan, and of course, my Cinta as my featured and top friends.
It's not a big of a deal really, but I just don't like the idea of ranking my friends and God forbid, offend any of my friends.
I will feature my friends when I have 30 empty spaces in any of those websites.

Parental advisory; explicit content

When I was younger, Baywatch is a no-no. Watching it is almost like committing a serious sin and you'll be teased by your friends if they know that you watch the series. And as I grew up (big enough to understand the human anatomy), I tried to sit down and watch it, and to my surprise, Baywatch is nothing but a boring 60 minutes per episode series where u see lifeguards running around in swimming trunks and swimsuits. Bleah~ Now I don't understand what the fuss was all about. Pamela Anderson's plastic b**bs bouncing up and down and David Hasselhoff flashing his abs and running in trunks?
Tsk tsk...No thanks...
During my secondary school years, Sex And The City became the big hit drama series. From the title itself, you know how the storyline will be. Me, being a couch potato, followed every single series aired on TV...except for that. I was tempted but I couldn't bring myself to watch it, especially if I watch it with my parents or sisters. I'll somehow feel shy and embarrassed to watch the show. However, now that I'm above 20 years old (uuu..that 'legal' age..haha), and the feeling has subsided, I tried to watch it and well, my first impression was that SATC is different. It is bold. It is explicit. And it got me hooked. Not because of the 'oh-close-your-eyes-please' scenes but because of everything else. The script (it is tastefully done and nothing cheesy), the characters, the clothes (they never wear the same outfit twice), and owwwhhh...the shoessss!! Manolo Blahnik....ahhhhh...
The bond between those four women were so strong that they can talk just about anything and everything. They have faced awful dates, break-ups, failed marriages, pregnancies and miscarriages, and even cancer together. They never talk bad about one another behind each others' back, and always always so supportive no matter what. It's the kind of friendship every woman dream to have. It is so strong that I wonder if friendships like that do exist among us women.
Hmmm...as for me, I don't think I have friendships exactly like that but I do like to think that my friendship with my girl friends are unique in its own special way. Each friendship I have is different to another. There's a bit of Charlotte, Samantha, Miranda, and Carrie in every single one of them and that's the beauty of it.
Btw, I just finished all 6 seasons of SATC and that's the reason why we are suddenly discussing about this..hehe =)

Celebrations

I've never been a big fan of celebrating my own birthday. My previous birthdays were celebrated almost exactly the same way every year ---> go out with friends and have dinner. The last time I've had a birthday party was when I was in standard 2. Haha..yeah...donkey years ago..when big t-shirts tucked-into jeans are still in.
This year I decided to take it up a notch. I celebrated my birthday with my house mates, girlfriends, boyfriend, and family separately. Hehe...that means, I got to celebrate it 4 times! =p
My house mates took me out for supper on the eve of my birthday...I celebrated the arrival of 12am with chicken teppayanki and also my sayangness housies.
During the weekend, the girls (Za+Irms, Dalia, Mel+Haiks, Nadiah, Ema+Pez, Sakinah, and Tasha) and I(+Adan) went to Luna Bar to celebrate me being 22. 'Twas fun even though I think that my birthday can't come at a worse time than now cause it seems like there are problems and troubles everywhere. I managed to catch up on some stuffs but still feel like ketinggalan zaman with everyone's updates. =( We went to Laundry Bar after that and saw Aizat, Nabila, Reena, Hafiza, and another birthday girl, Syazna there.
Had family lunch and dinner on Saturday. Adan had a blast meeting and bonding with my cousins, nephews, and nieces...hehe...and I had fun meeting his 'second' set of parents (the cool and awesome Aunty Yong and Uncle Megat) and also his almost siblings (the pretty Kak Iza and the hilarious Arif). Also, somewhere in between lunch and dinner, we went out with Izan and had some drinks and finger food at Chinoz KLCC...going out with Izan is always fun. This time, we managed to control ourselves from shopping. It was hard...but we didn't buy anything at all even though the word 'SALE' is plastered almost everywhere..hehe.
Ema hosted a costume party that night but unfortunately, we arrived there just in time before they call it a night. We arrived so late that only a few people were still there...we didn't even changed into our costumes cause we didn't want to arrive any later than we already were...=(
Boyfie took me for a shopping spree on Sunday (for my birthday)...and of course, I didn't splurge! hehe...thanx for the presents, Cinta. =)
And owwwhhh!!! I finally tried the much talked about Big Apple doughnuts!! It's really really good! I'm craving for it already right now..=( seriously, they have to open a branch in Ipoh!!

I can't lift up my bottom. It's heavy now.

*Ehem ehem*
6 weeks of no updates! soooo many things to tell...so many things to write...but sooo got no time..*nahhhh...I'm just a lazy a** whom uses time as an excuse* well...I'll just briefly share what i've been doing...hehe..
Since boyfie came back from Paris, I've been pigging out like nobody's business...like there's no tomorrow....like the food gonna run out anytime soon...like I won't be able to eat tomorrow...yeah...u get the picture...I've gained weight since, that now, I can't fit into my bridesmaid's kebaya...hence, I'm on a crash diet currently so that I'll be able to snug my love handles and those excess baggage into what seem like a teeny weeny kebaya now before my sister's wedding which is end of this month...huhuu
I was in Manjung for 3 weeks for my pediatrics posting...it was a-ok. We had a few classes during our posting there (one class per day) and we had the rest of the day to ourselves...like one wise lady once told me, Manjung is a cowboy town...translation : -boring-. However, the 6 of us managed to entertained ourselves during our stay by going for food hunting every lunch and dinner...yes, makan summore...heeeeeee..and owh, does any of u guys know that the best dressed cendol seller is from Manjung and he makes killer cendol? haha...we saw his stall and we dropped by to try his infamous pulut cendol and it was awesomeee!! He received the title 'Best Dressed' from NST coz he wears a white shirt with bow tie and a chef's hat...and yes, he sells his cendol along the roadsite on his bicycle...cute kan? =p
Boyfie and I celebrated out first year anniversary the other week and seriously, it was awesome! He took me to a romantic fine dining french restaurant, cleverly named Cafe Cafe. The place was beautiful!! It almost felt like I wasn't in Malaysia anymore...gorgeous chandelier, amazing food, and the whole ambiance..it was just...wow. After dinner, we went to Sky Bar at Traders Hotel. I've been wanting to check out the place cause of the rave people have been giving and yes, the place is beautiful and the view is superb. I had my first Shirley's Temple (haha...yeah..ketinggalan) and after 2 drinks and a bowl of peanuts, we went back home feeling great and me, feeling loved...hehe
On the eve of his birthday, I decided to throw him a surprise...and since he once told me that he does not want to have a party, I decided to make it simple with only a few people. With the help of my amazing (and beautiful) house mates, we successfully organized a barbecue and surprised him with a cake. We took the chance to celebrate Dayang's birthday too since we were not around during her birthday. The night was fun fun fun and the foods were great. My house mates did the whole thing while me, went out to distract him and keep him away from my house. They made meehoon sup (with begedil yg sedap sgt sgt), marinated that killer barbecue chicken, brownies, and coeslaw...phwooarrr...I was well fed and happy that night...=p
Will update more soon
