The Joker Is Dead.
In case you've been on the moon or living under the rock, I'm sure you have heard about the
tragic death of Heath Ledger caused by drug overdose (yet to be confirmed by autopsy) two days ago. It took the whole world by surprise since unlike Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty, Heath is not known as his drug addiction; in fact, he is well known for his charismatic performances especially in the controversy-filled movie, The Brokeback Mountain. His most recent movie that has completed its shooting, The Dark Knight, will be out in a few months and I'll be sure to watch it. I've seen the movie stills and it looked great.
T
here is another tragic news in Hollywood...Many may not know who Brad Renfro was...he was this famous child star whom Didi Harun had the hugest crush on. He was found dead last week in his apartment, also due to drug overdose. He was 25. Sad sad. It almost seemed like it is a trend in Hollywood nowadays, and I just hope this "death-due-to-drug-overdose" fever won't catch on like the pregnancy fever that seemed to be spreading all over the Tinseltown. Everyone is pregnant nowadays....from Jamie Lynn Spears (that 16 years old Zoe 101) to Halle Berry to Jessica Alba. But that is another story.
The death of both Heath and Brad reminded me of how short life can be, and how precious the time we spent with out loved ones. And also, of course, their death gave the whole world the ultimate reminder and lesson, that is, the danger of drug abuse.

And another chapter closed
2007.
It was a massive, gigantic, explosive roller coaster ride for me. The ups and downs that I went through...whoooaaaa! like never before.
A year that has made me more mature.
A year that has proved to me that life really is a b****h.
A year that has tested my patience, taught me a lot about friendship, about relationship.
Overall, 'twas a great year for me. Sure, there were a few bad moments, and of course, some unwise (bad) decisions were made. But those were the things that has taught me about everything and I wouldn't change it and wouldn't trade it for anything. If I had to weigh the good and the bad things in '07, the good will win hands down. =)
Resolutions you ask? The usual stuff, you know (work more, eat less, exercise more, sleep less, study harder...tralala..yeah, everyone knows the drill..). There are however, a few things that I would like to do before the end of 2008.
For example,
1.Go to Paris and visit Adan.
2.Buy myself a new car.
3. Earn more money. Or, learn how to save money at least.
4. Understand central nervous system. I really suck at CNS...tolong!!
5. Go to Singapore, Indonesia or Thailand
6.Holiday with friends
The list is actually longer than 6, but I shall just leave it as that. I do hope that things will only get better for me (and of course for everyone else) in 2008.
[To quote my younger sister; "2008, you better not be a bitch!"]

I have nothing to post, yet again.
2 weeks of remedial passed by like a breeze. Covered 2 postings and I am left with 3 more...currently I'm in PJ for one week..holiday for Raya Haji and Christmas lah..hehe..and next week, I'll have another long weekend (5 days!...because of New year)..hehe..told ya this remedial thing is easy! No fuss, no rush, nothing. Just show up to classes and I'll be fine..=p
For the past 5 days, I've not been doing anything, really. Watched I Am Legend with Lan on Friday and the movie was awesomeeee!! I highly recommend it to everyone!
*Plus, there's a scene where Will Smith was shirtless and he was doing some work out. Totally to droll over ok!*
Other than that, I've only went out shopping with Mama and my sister (Farah) and well, that's basically it. Life has been pretty dull for me lately. No, make that very dull. My brain is bleeding out of boredom already. I need some drama, peeps!

I have the luxury of time
Ok, I've got my full results already...and I'm going for remedial, thank God..I've never liked to do elective projects/studies ever since my first year in medical school. There's just too much hassle and the process of getting the project to be approved and finalized are just nightmares. And also, I don't have to find a doctor to do 3 weeks of attachment. Phew! All I need to do is go for bedside teaching for the next 6 weeks and bear Datin M's criticisms.. =)
The only not-so-fun thing is that, most of the friends I'm close to are doing elective...hopefully I won't be in the same group with those funny funny people...huhu...
It is a good thing that I'm going for remedial...I do need those extra classes to boost my lacking clinical skills and also, it gives me a head start for next year (sorta, if I do take this seriously).
I'm so bloody bored at home. With all my friends busy with classes and work, I have absolutely nothing to do. I'm already itching to go to class again.

I love Colbie Caillat's Coco.
It has been a freakin' looooooong month! And it couldn't have a better ending than this..
I sat for my finals earlier this month and ugh, like any other exams, it was tough. Seriously. This time, it was really really like, really *hand gestures* tough...it got uglier and uglier after each paper and the worst was the clinical long case exam. THAT did not go well...it was an unpleasant experience...I wish I could re-do it....it was embarrassing!
After all those disastrous papers, I'm currently on my one week holiday. Nothing can beat holidays and hanging out with great friends...I had my mind off the finals and for once after a very long time (2 months...that's a very long time ok) I could get away from all the craziness and stupidity in Ipoh. Seriously, I can't wait to finish my degree and move on. Ipoh sucks. Not Ipoh per se, but the people...(please don't get me started on this...) not all tho', some.
Anywayyyyssss, I was having so much fun until last night...I was a wreck when I woke up this morning after 2 hours of sleep..I felt like puking, I was really really nervous. Around 9-ish, the result came out and.....
I PASSED!!!!!!!! =)
Ngeeeeeeee.... =D
Alhamdulillah...and the best news is that, all 4 of my study group members passed! (YAY for us!!) out of 90 students from my batch, 86 of us passed!
However, this does not mean that we are guaranteed for 2 months of holiday...They will add up our OSCE and long case marks, and if we get more than 50%, we have to do elective project and attachment for between 4-6 weeks. If we don't get enough, we have to go for remedial classes for 6 weeks. Don't ask...these people, they love to make us miserable. They make it hard on purpose.
I don't mind either way...both has its own pros and cons. I think I'll be going for remedial since my long case was a disaster. Whatever. I'm just happy that I have passed my exams and I now can proceed to my final year.
Final year, people. It's time for me to take medicine seriously, innit?
Yikes.

The "I have changed" B.S
You know when people say that they will and can change? Does any of you guys ever believe when someone says that to you? I've never been a believer to that. I just simply don't think that people can change. People don't change. They can't, they won't, and they never will. It is all about will power. It's about how long you want to be pretentious and how long you can keep it up. It is just like dieting...if you have a strong will power, you will lose that weight and drop that love handles but sometimes, you just can't help but to grab a teeny bit of cheese or lick that sinful ice cream. Same goes to changing your personality. You may one day go back to your original self (the unoriginal dum dum) and it is just in a matter of time. Basically, you're just a hypocrite.

I want to sleep somemooreeee
I dont get it. I've always thought that the 3 of you can get along just fine.
Well, three's always a crowd isn't it? Someone has to be the 3rd wheel. Someone has to feel slightly left out once it a while. Someone has to feel betrayed. The person who came up with the phrase "3 is a crowd" is a pretty wise man and I guess he himself (or her for that matter) felt the same way as u do right now.
It's ok. At the end of the day, we are all alone. All we have is just ourselves. The only one we can count on is ourselves. And I should know that. I've been there at one point in my life.
For some, the fortunate ones, they won't ever be alone. They will always have their significant other. And you my dear, should realize that you're among the fortunate ones.
How bout this for a new, modified phrase"Friends come and go, but boyfriends are forever" ? hehe....applicable only during times like this. It's interchangeable. =p
I'm not making sense am I? Nemind...babe, I know YOU would understand.
=)
Update: Sayang, really, this ain't about me..haha =p I would've told you first if it was really me I'm talking about.

I want to whine. Let me be.
We're still in the first half of November and currently I've spent almost half of my monthly allowance on food.
I've been under a lot of stress due to my up and coming final exam, and as always, I channel the stress to comfort food. And as the result of sitting on the chair and munching away the whole day, I've added the diameter of my love handles and a bigger hips to match. Need to lose the weight after the exams or I can kiss all my jeans buhbye.
At times like this I need Yusma...my kawan makan, kawan study paling best, kawan paling memahami =(
I know in my previous post I said "I'm loving the stress" Yes, stress is good, but too much of it, well, not good.
I just can't believe how fast time passed by..I'll be done with my fourth year in 2 weeks time (InsyaAllah if everything goes well)...
What oh what have I been doing all these while? Been playing a fool and tak study...and as the result of that, now I'm struggling to cram and jam everything into my brain. Padan muka. And to make things worse, things do not seem like they can get through this thick skull of mine.
I still have Medicine, Surgery, Paeds, O&G, Primary Care, Forensic, and Public Health to study.
Not forgetting OSCE and long case! That's a whole loads of things to read!
Shit.
Thought to self: Ok ok...I won't give up on me just yet. I still have a week to revise. Chayok chayok! Berusahalah!
